Specialize-then-distill vs route
Specialize-then-distill vs route
Repair lab (Module 13, L13.6): route on a difficulty you can predict, and distill only a verified success. Twelve tasks, illustrative prices. A length router solves 9 of 12 at $3.9 and keeps 3 failure traces, because fix race, deadlock, and reentrancy are short and hard. The repaired router solves 12 of 12 at $6.6 with 0 noise, $0.55 per solved task. The broken run's $0.433 is 3.9/9 and hides the 3 failures. Always-large solves 12 of 12 at $12.0, over the $7.0 cap. The advanced handoff (learned orchestration policies, large-scale RL infrastructure, process supervision at scale, multi-task curricula, RL from AI feedback at scale) is named and not built. In-memory only; a scripted router, no threads or provider call.
